The spring/summer trends might be preaching that brightest is best, but when it came to the red carpet last night the stars played it safe.
Most of the famous faces, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz, shunned any obvious make-up look, letting their perfect lightly bronzed, skin and groomed eyebrows try very hard not to make any statement at all.
Lips were kept nude, or neutral and there was only a hint of eyeliner to emphasise their eyes.

Where there was colour, the choices were pretty conservative.
A few stars, like Anne Hathaway and Selena Gomez, upped the glamour stakes with bright red lips, and if you look really carefully Scarlett Johannson and Mila Kunis seem to be doing something bronze and smokey in the eye department.
Hair-wise there was more to talk about.
All the ponytails we’ve been seeing on the catwalks for Autumn have already made it to LA, with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Kate Beckinsale all rocking the look with different levels of groomed. Full Post…
