Women’s magazines often have features about how to get your body ready for summer. Every year there will be pages and pages of patronising diets, exercise routines, skincare and tanning tips, so that all you silly girls out there don’t embarrass yourself in public by being less than perfect. Even if you believe in all that crap, who on earth has the time for it?
Personally, I think it’s utterly ridiculous – hence my use of the word crap in the previous paragraph – and would only ever approach summer by giving my feet a bit of an extra scrub because I generally make an effort to look the way I’d like to all year round. However, I do have my own little summer legs routine that I shall share with you now. It’s a tip that won’t be useful for all situations, but it suits someone who is beach-holiday-phobic just fine.
Analysing what I thought was “wrong” with my legs, I realised that pasty white skin was my main enemy. Even though I love my pale skin, my legs to seem to be somewhat more reflective than the rest of me so I rarely show them off due to a fear of blinding the general public. After a friend’s wedding where I attended sans hosiery, I saw a photo of myself where my legs actually looked grey and so realised that something had to be done.
Years of trying different fake tans and ending up with orange knees – and, one time, feet!

This Fiverr gig is more for fun than fashion, unless you have a child who performs in school plays. The gig is for a tutu skirt made out of gently used jeans, might also be a fun way to craft with the kids. Or teach them about reuse.

Kate Middleton and her sister Pippa have been praised by Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes for their fashion style.
The 32-year-old actress said she was a huge fan of both the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister.
