An election race is heating up, and Herman Cain has nothing to do with it. The possibility of snagging the top spot at Christian Dior had the fittest of the young fashion fillies in a tizzy this past September—more than a couple of the collections were thinly veiled campaign speeches, and some contenders, like Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, knew how to project. With wunderkinds like Alexander Wang in the mix, Jacobs knew the competition was stiff. His response was loud and clear: Make it stiffer!

Weekend Challenge: Get yourself moving!

When April and May start to roll on, I become much more aware of getting myself moving. I know bathing suit season is creeping in and I want to feel comfortable (or as comfortable as can be) on the beach and by the pool. I do my best to walk, run and hike throughout the summer, and I even watch what I eat. Im usually pretty consistent throughout June, July and August. Not to mention, I get my husband and kids into it with me.

But when September and October come into play I totally give up! My sons are in school, swimming, gymnastics, basketball and CCD our days are jam-packed full.

The leaves are falling and the fall season is in full swing, as the outerwear is slowly but surely making its way out of the back of your closet. There is a ton of fun, new fall trends that are must-haves for these colder months.

But before we get to that, let’s talk about color. To coordinate with many of our favorite fall things like Halloween pumpkins, dried corn to pop, and a delicious bottle of Burgundy wine, this season’s popular color scheme represents all of that with dark oranges, mustardy maize, and a stained Merlot making the scene.

Answer: On my toes is my current go to pedi color is Pat on the Black its not quite black, more like a super dark and rich red, so it is perfect for this time of year. Its a great polish too, part of the Complete Salon Manicure line from Sally Hanson.
