Dolce and Gabbana: Partners in Fashion
Designer Domenica Dolce and his partner Stefano Gabbana are the faces behind the luxury brand Dolce and Gabbana. It was founded in 1982 and had its first runway show displaying the brand’s women collection in Milan in 1985. Its first outlet store was in Tokyo, Japan. Madonna has become one of its first clients sporting one of the brand’s collections in Cannes Film Festival in 1991. The fashion icon and entertainer eventually becomes one of the D&G’s endorsers.
Dolce and Gabbana designer clothes are famous for its signature corset dresses. It also has a number of pieces with leopard prints and is popular for its smooth and sleek 3-piece pantsuits. Among its popular celebrity clients are David and Viktoria Beckham, Sophia Loren, and Kate Hudson. Eva Mendes was quite a site when she wore a Dolce and Gabbana red, leopard print dress during the Venice Film Festival in 2009. Heather Graham also wore a stunning red corset dress during one of the premiere of the movie The Hangover.
The brand also created a number of product line aside from its designer clothes including lingerie, handbags, jeans, eyewear, and fragrances. Dolce and Gabanna can be brought in its official outlet stores, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
